About Our Site - Keyhole State Park

Keyhole State Park offers swimming, hiking, boating, water skiing, bird-watching and fishing. Some of the state’s largest fish have been caught at Keyhole. You can also reserve one of our 3 group shelters to host weddings, family get togethers and company picnics. Keyhole State Park is located on the western edge of the Black Hills, between Sundance and Moorcroft, and is easily accessed off I-90 at exit 165. Travel north 6 miles and the entrance to Park Headquarters will be on your left. Keyhole State Park has 10 campgrounds, all of which are reservation only.

Harmful Cyanobacterial Bloom (HCB) Advisories in Wyoming Waters

We just want to give everyone a heads up that Wyoming DEQ sampled the Keyhole reservoir for cyanobacteria blooms on Monday, March 8th. The results showed the existence of the bloom. We are asking users to take proper precautions and avoid the areas of the reservoir with the bloom, make sure that you are rinsing any fish and keeping only the filet portion, and keeping animals and pets away from the bloom. The areas of the reservoir that tested for the blooms were in the Wind Creek Area, along the north shore in the Narrows, and near the dam, however, other areas may have blooms as well.
