CURT GOWDY STATE PARK - AMPHITHEATER & HYNDS LODGE

Hynds Lodge is a conference center and accommodation lodge originally built by Cheyenne, Wyoming businessman Harry P. Hynds and donated to the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) in 1922.

The lodge is ADA accessible and features overnight accommodations for 30 people (max occupancy of 90), a large kitchen, dining room, living room, covered porch, stone fireplace, and chimney. There are additional tables and chairs for events. Linens, plates, cooking pots, etc. are not included.

Hynds Lodge is often used as a wedding venue in conjunction with the nearby amphitheater (must be reserved separately).

The lodge and amphitheater may be reserved up to twelve months in advance.

BOYSEN STATE PARK CABINS & CAMPSHACKS

Experience a new type of adventure at Boysen State Park!

CABINS: Three camping cabins are available for reservation at Upper Wind River Campground. They include a wood table, chairs, and a twin-over-full bunk bed, as well as an outdoor fire pit and picnic table. Linens are not provided.

NEW! CAMP SHACKS:  We have added 10 new campshacks throughout the park.  Smaller than cabins, these rentals will accommodate 2-4 guests.  Linens are not provided.

Cabins and camp shacks may be reserved year-round by calling 877-WYO-PARK or by booking online. Reservations are accepted up to 120 days in advance.

CURT GOWDY STATE PARK CABINS

Located in Sherman Hills campground with beautiful hilltop views of Granite Springs Reservoir, are four camping cabins equipped with air conditioning and heating. The cabins are furnished with a queen-sized bed in the front room and two twin bunk beds in the back room. Cabins #2 and #4 are ADA-accessible. There is no better way to end a day of fishing, biking, or hiking than the Sherman Hills cabins.

KEYHOLE STATE PARK CABINS

Keyhole features 14 camping cabins throughout the park.  Enjoy the area’s rich history and breathtaking monuments during the day and retreat to your cabin during the evening! 

The cabins are equipped with heating/cooling systems and are furnished with beautiful, hand-made wood furniture including a double bed, bunk bed, table and chairs. Cabin #4 is ADA-accessible.

Cabins may be reserved year-round by calling 877-WYO-PARK online at reserve.wyoming.gov. Reservations are accepted up to 120 days in advance.

Located at Buffalo Bill State Park, Shreve Lodge is a day-use facility, reservable from May through September, up to twelve months in advance.  

It features a spacious great room with a fireplace, a small kitchen, and ADA-compliant restrooms, and can accommodate up to 200 visitors.  This western-style log building is located just 10 miles west of Cody on Lakeside Rd (6NX County Rd).

Liability insurance and additional documentation may be required for events with alcohol, catered events, and high-risk events. For events open to the public, a Special Use Permit may be required.

THE HORSE BARN THEATER

Horse Barn Theater rental space

 

Located at the Wyoming Territorial Prison State Historic Site in Laramie, the Horse Barn Theater is a day use facility, open by reservation from April 1 to December 20.  The building can be used as a venue for weddings, receptions, family reunions, meetings, holiday parties, and other private events

Important Information:

Reservation requests are processed through the historic site. Contact the Superintendent at Wyoming Territorial Prison State Historic Site at (307) 745-3733 for more information.

KEYHOLE STATE PARK TREEHOUSE

Experience “camping” at Keyhole State Park from a completely different view! This beautifully constructed tree house is the perfect getaway while visiting Keyhole State Park, Devil’s Tower, and other local attractions!

With a minimum 2-night stay, the tree house features a two-bedroom living space with one queen bed in one room and one set of bunk beds in the next. The private deck offers campers a scenic view of the reservoir and includes a propane BBQ. A fire pit is also available outside of the unit. The tree house does not have bathrooms or running water, but that is only a short distance away in the Cottonwood Campground. Bedding is provided.

 

 

2-day minimum reservation required. The tree house may be reserved by phone at 877-996-7275 or online at reserve.wyoming.gov.

Yurts

GLENDO STATE PARK YURTS

The three yurts at Glendo State Park are located in a wooded area overlooking Glendo reservoir.  They are situated near hiking and biking trailheads and minutes from the marina. 

Yurts include a bunk bed (2 full beds) and a fold-out twin bed. Yurts are equipped with electricity - ceiling fan, light, electric outlet, and USB outlet. No bathroom or kitchen inside yurts. Please bring your own linens.

GUERNSEY STATE PARK YURTS

The yurts at Guernsey are situated high on a bluff overlooking the reservoir. Whether you are visiting for water recreation or exploring the local Oregon Trail history, the yurts are the perfect getaway! The yurts are located on Skyline Road on the way to the Guernsey CCO-built “Castle.”

Yurts are equipped with solar-powered lights and a ceiling fan. There are no bathrooms, kitchen, water, or electricity inside the yurts, nor is there heating/cooling so please pack/dress accordingly.  Yurt #2 is ADA accessible.

SINKS CANYON STATE PARK YURTS

Sinks Canyon State Park offers four camping yurts that serve as a great alternative to traditional tent camping during any season! Yurts are equipped with electric heat for cozy winter months and a ceiling fan for summer days. Yurt #3 is ADA accessible. Yurt #4 is a larger unit. No bathroom or kitchen inside yurts.

The yurts are located at Popo Agie Campground and have breathtaking views of the Canyon and the Popo Agie River. Nature trails and your favorite fishing spot are within walking distance. Reservations can be made year-round by calling 877-996-7275 or online at reserve.wyoming.gov.
