NEW DATE: KEYHOLE RESERVOIR TO HOST JACKALOPE JUMP MARCH 16TH

(A “POLAR PLUNGE” TYPE FUNDRAISING EVENT BENEFITING SPECIAL OLYMPICS WYOMING)

KEYHOLE RESERVOIR, WY – Due to the most recent weather forecast the Keyhole Jackalope Jump has be rescheduled to Saturday, March 16th.  We like cold weather for our jumps but not so cold it is potentially unsafe for our jumpers. It will be held at the same time, same place, with the same great fun!

On March 16th dressed in creative costumes, individuals and teams of the bravest souls will jump into freezing cold water and come out BELOW ZERO HEROS having raised funds for Special Olympics Wyoming athletes!

The Jackalope Jump is a fun-filled event where friends gather to celebrate the abilities and accomplishments of Special Olympics athletes and spread the message of joy, courage, and inclusion. Jumpers raise a minimum of $100 per individual and $50 per team member and those funds provide equipment, training, and competition opportunities for more than 1800 Special Olympics Wyoming athletes.

This fundraiser is a family-friendly, community event organized by local volunteers and local Wyoming Law Enforcement Torch Run members. It brings together local residents, friends from neighboring towns, as well as brave individuals of all ages representing philanthropic companies, civic organizations, clubs and schools.  Jackalope Jumps are open to the public, and spectators are encouraged to come out to cheer on the brave jumpers.

There are sixteen Wyoming Jackalope Jumps scheduled in 2019. See the complete list at http://www.sowy.org/index.php/jackalope-jumps.

The Keyhole Reservoir Jackalope Jump will be held March 16th!

Registration will begin at 12:00 pm with the Jump starting at 1:00 pm.

If you’d like to support Special Olympics Wyoming athletes but cannot (or will not) jump into to the ice cold waters…come to the event or contact our office (307-235-3062) to purchase a “Too Chicken to Jump” t-shirt for $25.
