Reservations may be made for camping within the following campgrounds:

  • Bennett Hill
  • Custer Cove
  • Reno Cove
  • Sandy Beach Dune
  • Sandy Beach Willow
  • Two Moon

The following day use shelters may be reserved in advance:

  • Bennett Hill
  • Dune (Sandy Beach)
  • Lighthouse (Shelter Point Campground)
  • Sagebrush
  • Two Moon
  • Whiskey Gulch
  • Willow (Sandy Beach)

Day Use Shelters are the perfect place for family and friend gatherings and celebrations. 

 

The Park offers 21 campgrounds with over 500 campsites which vary from First Come, First Serve (Walk ins) to Reserveable. Some reserve sites do offer electric hook-ups. The following campgrounds are strictly First Come, First Serve campgrounds (other than applicable Day Use Shelters) and not available for booking in advance: Whiskey Gulch, Sagebrush, Shelter Point, Mule Hill, Red Hills, Cottonwood, Muddy Bay and Indian Point. Check Park for availability on any First Come, First Serve campsites.  

The Buffalo Run Group Area is a great area to reserve for a large group get together. It consists of a large shelter and six campsites. There must be a minimum of two camping units in this site for it to be used.

Day Use Shelters and Reserveable Campsites may be reserved by calling 877-996-7275 or booking online. Reservations are accepted up to 4 months in advance of your arrival date.

COVID-19 Coronavirus
Important Information:

In an effort to slow the spread of COVID-19, all Wyoming State Park: overnight camping facilities, cabins, yurts, group sites/shelters, showerhouses, some non-essential restrooms, and playgrounds are closed until further notice.

All parks currently remain open for day-use outdoor recreation activities including: trailheads, hiking/biking trails, boat ramps, fishing access, essential restrooms, individual picnic areas/tables. Normal park fees apply; visitors are urged to use fee canisters. 

State Historic Sites are closed to the general public until further notice. 

While we encourage citizens to enjoy the great outdoors while maintaining social distances, please know the Governor has also urged citizens to stay home whenever possible. This is an ever-changing situation.
