Reservations - Glendo

Description:

Lighthouse-ShelterLighthouse Shelter on Shelter Point

From May 1st to September 30th, reservations are required at most campsites. From October 1st through April 30th, all sites are available only on a first-come, first-served basis. Yurts must be reserved year-round and at least 24 hours in advance.

The following day use shelters may be reserved in advance:

  • Bennett Hill
  • Dune (Sandy Beach)
  • Lighthouse (Shelter Point Campground)
  • Sagebrush
  • Two Moon
  • Whiskey Gulch
  • Willow (Sandy Beach)

Day Use Shelters are the perfect place for family and friend gatherings and celebrations. 

 

Our Park offers 20 campgrounds with over 500 campsites. Some reservation sites do offer electric hook-ups. Camping has been closed in the Burnt Wagon and Muddy Bay areas. Gravel Point, Lakeshore, Waters Point, Colter Bay, and sites 1522-1570 in Sandy Beach Willow Campground are available only on a first-come, first-served basis, year-round.

The Buffalo Run Group Area (TM-20) is a great campsite to reserve for a large group. It consists of a large shelter and six campsites. There must be a minimum of two camping units in this site for it to be used.

Day Use Shelters and Reserveable Campsites may be reserved by calling 1-877-996-7275 or booking online. Reservations are accepted up to 4 months in advance of your arrival date.

Notifications:

All Campgrounds are First Come First Serve as of October 1, 2024. Also all seasonal water has been shut off for the year. Please fill up before you arrive due to the water being shut off. All dumpsters have been picked up for the year so there are none out on the park until next Spring.

There is currently no flooding of any campsites at this time!


Access to North Platte River below Glendo Power Plant in the Wetlands Area is currently closed to vehicular, bicycle, and foot traffic. 

The park is open year-round for day use and camping. Day use permits are required from 6AM to 10PM, and camping permits are required from 10PM to 6AM. Fee booths are open Mon-Sun, from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Otherwise, fees can be paid by cash, check, or credit card at canisters and kiosks stationed at park entrances, which are available 24/7.
