A public meeting regarding Phase II of the Sinks Canyon State Park Master Plan is scheduled for November 5 from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Lander Library, Carnegie Room.

During the master planning process over the past six months, Sinks Canyon State Park staff has been collecting information, feedback, and ideas about ways to both enhance the visitor experience at the park and preserve its resources for future generations to enjoy.

Many opportunities and challenges have been identified at the park, but additional public input is needed at the open house to help move the master planning process forward.

"The master plan will help ensure that Sinks Canyon State Park is well-positioned to meet the needs of our visitors for the next twenty years, while simultaneously protecting its valuable natural and cultural resources," said Chris Floyd, State Parks District Manager. "This open house is a great opportunity for the public to make their voices heard regarding the future of the park."

People of all ages are encouraged to attend the open house and share their preferences, values, and vision for Sinks Canyon State Park.

The Lander Library is located at 451 N. 2nd Street in Lander.
