Junior Ranger Book - Sinks Canyon

 

About: 

 

We are excited to offer Junior Ranger books to visitors! These books can be picked up at the visitor center from May until September as the visitor center is open. Digital copies can be downloaded online. When a finished book is presented at the park, you may be sworn in as a junior ranger and receive a button. 

 

Thanks to the Sinks Canyon Conservancy for paying for the printing of the books.

Site Status
 

Attention: Fire restrictions are still in effect. 

Wood and charcoal fires are not permitted anywhere in the state park. Gas/propane camp stoves are allowed. 

Fireworks are prohibited in the park at all times. 

 

The Visitor Center is closed for the season. 

 

 

All campsites and the Sawmill Shelter are reservation only through Septepmber 30th, 2026 - except the first-come, first-serve sites 12 and 15. 

Yurts are available on the reservation system, and must be reserved 24 hours in advance. 

 

 

Please Note: Water will be turned off in the Popo Agie Campground on on Oct 15th, 2026. 

Yurts are availalbe year round through the reservation system. 

Campsites are reservation only 
May 1st-Sept 30th.
Sites 12 and 15 in the Popo Agie Campground are first come first-served year round.

Sawmill Shelter can be reserved through the reservation system
May 1st-Sept 30th. 

Campsites and the Sawmill Shelter are first-come first served,
Oct 1st - April 30th. 
Campsite and shelter access is weather dependent.

  • Facilities are open to the public from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. year-round. After 10pm, all campground visitors must be staying at the campground.
  • The Visitor Center is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. May 22 through September 7.
