3D Archery Range - GLENDO
About:
- In 2018, a new archery range was developed at Glendo State Park. This came about from a partnership with Converse County SFW. They donated targets, supplies and funding to build a range consisting of two different courses.
- The first course is a six-target static range with distances ranging from 10 yards to 60 yards. This is a great place to practice and make sure your bow is sighted in.
- The second course is a 20-target 3D course. The goal was to design a 3D course that would simulate bowhunting scenarios. There is a 1.1 mile hiking trail of moderate difficulty going through the 3D course. Many of the targets are of North American animals, with a few unique targets in the mix. We were the first range in Wyoming to have a Sasquatch target!!!
- The range is located across from Glendo State Park Headquarters with parking next to the trailer dump station.
- There are no additional fees to use the Archery Range, but Park Day Use fees do apply. This was all done through donations, so please consider leaving a donation to help maintain this new feature.
- If you have never shot archery and would like to try or do you have a child that would like to try, contact us. As part of the donations from Converse County SFW, we have Genesis Compound Bows. These bows will go down to a 10 pound draw weight are great for kids or beginners to try. They must be checked out at the park Headquarters. Please call in advance to make sure someone is available to check one out to you. There is no additional fee for this, but donations are welcome.
