The Curt Gowdy Family, Wyoming State Parks Director Darin Westby and park staff announce the very first Kindness Day at Curt Gowdy State Park, August 7 from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m.
This effort is a labor of love from the family of the renown sportscaster, passionate conservationist and humanitarian for which the park was named. Kindness Day is part of a larger initiative to create a one of a kind Little House on the Park, blending a glorious pioneer past and a fairytale to teach children about kindness to all.
Its programming and artistic activities will teach, inspire and emotionally impact the behaviors and importance of Kindness to children between ages of three to 12-years-old.
This inaugural Kindness Day incorporates art, games, storytelling, interpretive programming and delicious treats and through it all, we hope children will experience a true venue of love and kindness.
This event is free to children and their families and is made possible by the Curt Gowdy State Park Family Fund, a nonprofit charitable 501c3 organization.
Come join the children and express the love of kindness as we invite you to shine the light of love and joy to our world.
