Some areas in Sinks Canyon State Park will be inaccessible to visitors due to pavement overlay and seal coating operations in August. The first closure goes into effect at 7:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 14 and will last until 7:00 a.m. on Friday, August 17. This will affect traffic and accessibility to the Sinks Canyon Visitor Center and the Sawmill Campground. The second closure takes place the following week at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 21 and goes until 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 23. This will affect trails, campsites and yurts at the Popo Agie Campground. “We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause but these repairs are necessary and they will extend the life or our parking and camping areas for years to come,” said Jamie Simonson, Park Superintendent at Sinks Canyon State Park. The public may visit http://wyoparks.org or call 307-332-6333 for more information.
