Hiking - SINKS CANYON
About:
Sinks Canyon offers spectacular hiking adventures for the whole family. Trails begin at several locations including the Rise, the Visitors Center and the Popo Agie Campground. Trails range from 1/4 mile to 2 miles one way.
The Sinks To Rise Trail is an ADA accessible, paved Braille Trail that offers a guide rope and accessible interpretive graphics for the visually impaired.
All trails except the Sinks To Rise Trail are unpaved, primative trails.
The Sunnyside Trail is a multi-use trail open to hikers and non-motorized bikes.

- The North Slope Trail cannot be accessed from the Sinks to Rise trail during Popo Agie River overflow events.

Attention: Water is on in the Popo Agie Campground as of May 1st, 2026. All campsites and the Sawmill Shelter are now reservation only - except sites 12 and 15. Yurts are available on the reservation system, and must be reserved 24 hours in advance. The Visitor Center will open on May 22nd, 2026.
