Campsites For Tents and Campers - SINKS CANYON

About:

Sinks Canyon State Park offers two campgrounds with primitive camping  (no water hook-up and no electricity.) Each site has a firepit and picnic table. Both campgrounds offer firewood (by donation), vault toilets and seasonal, potable water pumps. 


All campsites are available via the reservation system May-September and on a first-come, first-service basis during the off-season. Call 1-877-996-7275 to make a reservation or visit https://wyomingstateparks.reserveamerica.com/campinghome.page

 

More information: 

  • Sawmill Campground offers 5 campsites with an accessible site, 2 roadside trailer/camper sites and 2 pull in/tent sites.
    Popo Agie campground offers 24 sites for tents and small trailers/campers. There is very limited availability for large trailers.

Attention: Sinks Canyon State Park is in a fire ban effective August 4th, 2025. 

No campfires or charcoal fires are allowed anywhere in the park. 

Gas camp stoves are currently still allowed and must be tended to at all times. 

 

Please Note: Water is on in the campgrounds as of May 1st 2025. 

Campsites and yurts are reservation only May 1st-Sept 30th.
Sites 12 and 15 in the Popo Agie Campground are first come first-serve year round.

Campsites are all first-come first serve, Oct 1st - April 30th.  Campsite availability is weather dependent. 
Yurts are on the reservation system and availalbe year round.

  • Facilities are open to the public from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. year-round. After 10pm, all campground visitors must be staying at the campground.
  • The Visitor Center is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. May 23 through September 1.
