About:

Along Medicine Lodge Creek, there are 4 areas that are handicap accessible to fish from. These areas are accessible from a concrete pathway that are easy to navigate.

The ADA access is located in the park boundary along the .5/mile of creek access within the park.

AvailabilityAvailability

The access to the ADA fishing locations is seasonal as the walkways are not plowed or maintained in the snow months.

Site Status
 

Medicine Lodge State Archaeological Site is open year round with well maintained access to the park no matter the conditions.

The 2024 Group Area reservations begin on January 2 at 7:30am.  For more information, please call the park at 307.469.2234.

Hours
 
  • The park is open daily from 6:00 a.m.-10:00 p.m.
  • Park Headquarters Hours M-F: 8:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m., also open most weekends during the busy season.
  • The interpretive cabins are closed seasonally from October 31 through April 30. Call ahead prior to your visit to arrange to have the cabins unlocked.
