Winter Sports - FORT PHIL KEARNY
About:
Cross-country skiing, snowshoeing. No groomed trails or planned trails, but users can explore 400 acres at the foot of the Big Horns
More information:
- Interpretive Center is closed Dec.22 – April 30, but outdoor areas are open. Written permission to ski/shoe outside the interpretive areas is required – we also run hunting/weapons demo programs – so written permission includes getting on the schedule. Routes include going alongside Lower Piney Creek, and for snowshoers, up to the top of Pilot Knob – a spectacular view and stone circles.
