No water, no problem. Guernsey State Park and the Tri-City Parks and Recreation District host a Family Fun Day at Sandy Beach.

The Fun in the Sun begins at 3 p.m., July 20 and features an afternoon of sand volleyball, Bocce ball, Spike ball, corn hole and badminton.

At dusk. Disney’s “Planes: Fire and Rescue” will be shown. Water will be provided throughout the day along with popcorn and cotton candy during the movie. Those in attendance will also be eligible for a few giveaways.

Visitors are encouraged to bring their own bug spray, snacks, drinks (coolers are welcome), chairs and beach blankets.

As always, park daily permits will be required on all. Park rules such as no glass containers and no dogs on the beach will be enforced.
