FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

            Fort Phil Kearny State Historic Site in conjunction with the Sheridan County Public Library System hosts a series of programs on the upcoming Solar Eclipse and a viewing party of that night’s full moon. All of the programs will be held on August 7.

            Samantha Ogden, director of the NASA Space Grant Consortium in Laramie will present a series of programs. The programs will be held at the Tongue River Valley Community Center in Ranchester at 3 p.m., Sheridan Fulmer Library at 5:30 p.m., Story Branch Library at 7:30 p.m. and the full moon and night sky viewing program at Fort Phil Kearny at 8:30 p.m.

            Persons attending the full moon viewing at Fort Phil Kearny are encouraged to bring a chair or blanket and binoculars.
