Edness Kimball Wilkins has 2.8 miles of winding scenic trails that meanders through old cottonwood landscapes next to the historical North Platte River. Also several miles of unfinished natural trail that test the adventurous.

All non-motorized boats are allowed on the swimming pond. Paddle boards, paddle boats, canoes, rowboats, all blowup rafts, etc.
The main swimming pond is located in the middle of the park and follows the road into the park.
The availability depends on the thaw of the ice from winter. No motorized boats allowed in the ponds.
The pier borders the western part of the park that runs along the historic North Platte. It is ADA accessible and has built-in benches and a leaning platform. Rails and curbs protect from any accidental falls onto the outside edges of the pier.

This section of the North Platte is considered by many as blue ribbon fishing. As the North Platte River winds its way down around the park, boiling waters of trout tease the angler into throwing their favorite fly.
The North Platte runs west of the park for the entire distance of the park.

There is a large geocaching group in the area.
