More information:
Trail End’s grounds are connected by a short walkway with the Sheridan Pathways route overlooking Kendrick Park and the Elk Pasture.
You can access Sheridan Pathways via the curved sidewalk on our southeast grounds. You can start and end your hike here; we have plenty of on-street parking available.
You are welcome to hike through the Trail End grounds anytime between dawn and dusk.
No fees for grounds use.
Trail End has a very small gift shop, containing books, postcards and other small items related to Trail End.
The gift shop is located at the reception desk inside the Kendrick Mansion.
Purchases may be made during museum hours (April & May: 1-4p daily; June thru August: 9a-6p daily; September thru mid-December: 1-4p daily)
Our biggest sellers are two of our books: The Trail End Souvenir Booklet ($6.95) and One Cowboy’s Dream: John B. Kendrick, His Family, Home & Ranching Empire ($12.95). Either can be purchased over the phone and shipped for a small fee.
The Trail End State Historic Site is comprised of three principal historic features: The Kendrick Mansion (known historically as “Trail End”), the Carriage House Theater, and the historic grounds.
