About:
Medicine Lodge has only 1 centrally located group camping and shelter area for reservation. The group site is large grassy area with a playground and horseshoe pits. Up to 20 vehicles and 10 trailers are allowed within the site. Additional day-use parking is available near the petrogplyph wall. The group shelter is 24’X36’ and has lighting and electrical outlets. A potable water hydrant is located a short distance from the shelter.
LocationThe group shelter is located in the “Ship Rock” area of the park across the bridge from the horse corrals.
AvailabilityThe group shelter is available year-round for reservation.
Fees- Reservations can be made beginning on the second Friday of January of the same year.
- To make a reservation go online to reserve.wyoming.gov or call 877-996-7275.
- The daily use/reservation fee for the shelter and area is $200.00 per 24 hour period or night.

Medicine Lodge State Archaeological Site is open year round with well maintained access to the park no matter the conditions. Seasonal Water Closure - October through April (sometimes mid-May) Water will only be available at one hydrant that is located next to the Site Cabin.
