Indian Point is a moderately sized campground, spread across three separate areas, and consisting of 21 campsites. To access the campground from I-25 follow Glendo Park Road all the way out to the Sandy Beach turn-off and turn left, towards Sandy Beach. Just before the Sandy Beach fee booth, turn right on the gravel road and follow it two miles to Indian Point. All sites in this campground are undeveloped, with two-track dirt roads for access. Sites 1-12 are the farthest south, and while sites 7-12 are situated at the edge of a large stand of cottonwoods, sites 1-6 are exposed with little to no shade. The cottonwoods, along with thick underbrush stand between these sites and the shoreline. Sites 13 through 16 are set back just south of the boat ramp parking lot. Each of these sites has decent tree cover, and is close to one of Indian Point’s bathrooms. Sites 17 through 21 are north of the boat ramp, and are relatively close to the campground’s second toilet. Sites 17 and 18 have partial shade, while 19 through 21 are more exposed, with a good view overlooking the reservoir. All of the sites in this campground are best suited to medium sized camping units, or tents. The boat ramp is normally open and usable from early May to late July. There is a small low water ramp, which is usually only usable for the first two or three weeks of August, before it too comes out of the water.
