About:

The Register Cliff State Historical Site (RCSHS) area was an an important overnight resting area along the Oregon, California and Mormon Trails during the great western migration of the mid 1800’s. Nearly 500,000 emigrants passed through the RCSHS area on their journeys west. Many pioneers marked passage through the area by engraving their names and dates on the soft sandstone cliff face found at RCSHS.
