Visitor Center - MEDICINE LODGE
About:
Medicine Lodge Visitor Center is a self-guided interpretive center with a multitude of information regarding the history of the site all the way from the paleo indians to the most recent ranching history.
- Across from the large red barn.
- The building is well marked and visible right off the main park road.
- 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. from April 1st through October 31st.
- The center is also available in the off-season by appointment.
There is no cost to utilize the visitor center.

Medicine Lodge State Archaeological Site is open year round with well maintained access to the park no matter the conditions. The 2025 Group Area reservations begin on January 2 at 8:00am, and will be available online at reserve.wyoming.gov or by calling 877-996-7275. Seasonal Water Closure - October through April (sometimes mid-May) Water will only be available at one hydrant that is located next to the Site Cabin.
