Cultural Experience - MEDICINE LODGE

About:

Medicine Lodge's newest addition, the Cultural Experience, allows visitors to journey through the past and seasons, while digging into the cultural component of the peoples who once lived here.  This immersive experience brings forth youthful imagination to a time of mammoths, survival and legends.  Finish your tour by learning about the indigenous people of today.

Medicine Lodge State Archaeological Site is open year round with well maintained access to the park no matter the conditions.

Seasonal Water Closure - October through April (sometimes mid-May)

Water will only be available at one hydrant that is located next to the Site Cabin.

  • The park is open daily from 6:00 a.m.-10:00 p.m.
  • Park Headquarters Hours M-F: 8:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m., also open most weekends during the busy season.
  • The interpretive cabins are closed seasonally from October 31 through April 30. Call ahead prior to your visit to arrange to have the cabins unlocked.
