Medicine Lodge has 5 vault toilet restroom facilities spread throughout the park that are commonly referred to by visitors as “the cleanest we’ve seen."

Medicine Lodge State Archaeological Site is open year round with well maintained access to the park no matter the conditions.

Seasonal Water Closure - October through April (sometimes mid-May)

Water will only be available at one hydrant that is located next to the Site Cabin.

  • The park is open daily from 6:00 a.m.-10:00 p.m.
  • Park Headquarters Hours M-F: 8:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m., also open most weekends during the busy season.
  • The interpretive cabins are closed seasonally from October 31 through April 30. Call ahead prior to your visit to arrange to have the cabins unlocked.
