Two playgrounds are available.

Location

One is in the lower campground and one in the group camping area.

Availability

Year-round

Fees

Parties that have reserved our group camping area have sole access to the playground during their reservation period.
Other times, the playground is first-come, first-serve.
Standard group camping area fee applies, or in the absence of a reservation the playground is free.

Medicine Lodge State Archaeological Site is open year round with well maintained access to the park no matter the conditions.

Seasonal Water Closure - October through April (sometimes mid-May)

Water will only be available at one hydrant that is located next to the Site Cabin.

The park is open daily from 6:00 a.m.-10:00 p.m.
Park Headquarters Hours M-F: 8:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m., also open most weekends during the busy season.
The interpretive cabins are closed seasonally from October 31 through April 30. Call ahead prior to your visit to arrange to have the cabins unlocked.
