About:

Hawk Springs State Recreation Area is a popular water-based recreation destination in eastern Wyoming. Its sandy beach areas are one of the attractions that bring visitors to this popular little park.

The entire eastern shoreline of the park can be a suitable and attractive beach. Water levels vary each year so the actual exposed beach area does vary.

AvailabilityAvailability

Sandy beach areas are available to some degree all year-around.

FeesFees

All vehicles must display the appropriate Daily Use and Overnight Camping permits. A self-pay canister is located at the park’s entrance.

  • With the appropriate fees and permits, Hawk Springs State Recreation Area is open 24 hours per day year-around.
  • Site potable water hydrants are useable from May 1 - September 30.
