About:
Guernsey State Park is situated along the North Platte River and Guernsey Reservoir which provides a variety of habitats that are home to a wide variety of wildlife species. The park is a birders and wildlife viewing haven.

The entire park provides valuable habitat for all types and species of wildlife. The riparian areas, open grasslands, canyons and timbered hillsides provide excellent locations to watch for the many species of birds and animals that call Wyoming home.

Wildlife viewing opportunities are good throughout the year, but, the springtime and autumn months are the best times of the year to spot the wild things of the park.

GUERNSEY LOW WATER LEVELS 7/9 - 7/26
Beginning on July 5th, the release of water from Glendo reservoir will be decreased. Guernsey water levels will lower rapidly, with boat ramps becoming unusable by July 9th. The reservoir is expected to be suitable for swimming/boating again by the morning of July 27th.
Camping in Wyoming State Parks now open to ALL visitors. Social distancing guidelines in place. |
