Celebrate the Fourth of July by attending Ft. Fetterman Days, an event featuring activities for the entire family, from 8 a.m. until 12 noon.
The day’s festivities begin at Ft. Fetterman State Historic Site with a 5k run beginning at 7 a.m. Interested participants can register online at www.active.com, at the College Inn Bar prior to July 1, or at Fort Fetterman beginning at 6 a.m. the day of the race.
Enjoy a free individually wrapped breakfast burrito and a flag-raising ceremony at 8:15 a.m.
Other activities planned during the day include children’s games, a pony express mail exchange, living history demonstrations, free ice cream, a book signing, cemetery tours and wagon rides.
Fort Fetterman State Historic Site is located near Douglas, Wyo. at Exit 140 just off I-25.
