Visitors are invited to experience the Fur Trade Rendezvous era of the early-1800s during the 46th Annual Fort Bridger Mountain Man Rendezvous August 31 through September 3. The rendezvous is 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day. This widely popular celebration of the mountain man is one of the largest gatherings in the nation. This event features food, shopping, kids activities, music, dancing, marksmanship competitions, and more. "The Fort Bridger Rendezvous welcomes thousands of visitors each year from around the nation and the world," says Chris Floyd, Shoshone District Manager. "The event is a great way to experience authentic living history and to have some fun at the same time." Admission for the general public is $5 for everyone 12 years and up. State regulations prohibit alcohol consumption. Dogs are welcome; however, please review the dog policy before bringing your dog(s) as violators will be fined. Also, visitors dressed in pre-1840s attire, head-to-toe enter free.
