Celebrate Independence Day with some good old-fashioned family fun at Fort Bridger State Historic Site during the 9th Annual 4th of July Kids Extreme Day beginning at 11 a.m. The annual American Legion 4th of July parade will travel through the town of Fort Bridger and end at the entrance to the State Historic Site. After the parade, everyone is invited into the Fort to enjoy many fun activities, which will focus this year on the 150th anniversary of the Treaty of 1868 and the arrival of the Union Pacific Railroad. Prizes will be awarded and everyone can enjoy homemade root beer, cookies, and other refreshments. The day’s events are free and everyone is welcome. For more information please call 307-782-3842.
