About:

  • Glendo has 45+ miles of non-motorized trails.
  • There are four trail heads: Dam Overlook, Two Moon, Wetlands and Sandy Beach.

  • Trails are a natural terrain single-track design.  

UPDATE (6/23/23): 

A section of the 91 Gigawat trail is currently closed across the North Platte River. Trails on the south side of the river can still be accessed via the Raptor Trail. An estimated time for the 91 Gigawat trail reopening is unknown, and any updates will be posted as soon as they arise.

About:

Hunting is allowed during Wyoming Game and Fish Department regulated hunting seasons north and west of the cattle guard at Waters Point (excluding Bennett Hill Campground) and north of Indian Point Campground. Hunters are required to follow all rules and regulations set forth by the Wyoming Game and Fish Department and Wyoming State Parks.

About:

There are several overlooks that provide amazing views of Glendo State Park. 

  • The overlook at the Powerplant is located across from Two Moon Campground and provides a view of the Glendo Power Plant and the river leaving Glendo Reservoir.
  • The overlook at the south end of the dam overlooks the spillway and the river channel. 
  • The Dam Overlook is located at the west end of Two Moon Campground and overlooks Glendo Dam.
  • The north Dam Overlook gives you great views of the southern part of the reservoir and of Laramie Peak.
