The Trail End State Historic Site is located on a hill overlooking the town of Sheridan and the confluence of Big and Little Goose creeks. It has a spectacular view of the Bighorn Mountains and Sheridan’s eastern hills.

Trail End is located at 400 Clarendon Avenue in Sheridan. The overlook areas are on the east and south sides of the property.

The grounds are available year-round from dawn through dusk.

Site Status

 

Wyoming State Historic Sites are temporarily closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This includes historic structures, visitor centers, museums, gift shops and offices. While we encourage citizens to enjoy the great outdoors while maintaining social distances, please know the Governor has also urged citizens to stay home whenever possible. This is an ever-changing situation. Please check the website for updates or call ahead before visiting.
