Trail End Grounds Tour


  • The Trail End State Historic Site in Sheridan is a wonderful place to hold your outdoor wedding or other social event We have several areas to choose from, all within the confines of our 3.8 acres of groomed grounds.
  • Political and commercial events are not allowed on the site.
  • Events (weddings, parties, etc.) are not allowed inside either the Kendrick Mansion or the Carriage House Theater.


  • Southwest Grounds (sun/shade; great view of mountains; up to 200 guests)
  • Southeast Grounds (sun; large space; great view of mountains; unlimited guests)
  • North Grounds (full sun; unlimited guests; some traffic noise; no view)
  • East Grounds (full sun; unlimited guests; some traffic/visitor noise; no view)
  • Northeast Grounds (shade/sun; under the trees; no view; traffic noise)
  • Northwest Grounds (shad/sun; no view; traffic noise Orchard (shade; limited seating; no view; traffic noise)
  • Rose Garden (full sun; limited to 25 guests or less; good view of mountains) Carriage House Courtyard (full sun; limited to 40 guests or less)
  • Weddings can be held on the grounds at any time between dawn and dusk; they must, however, be scheduled through Trail End by phoning 307-674-4589 or sending an email request to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
  • Weekend weddings are very popular in the summer. It is recommended that you schedule your weekend wedding as soon as possible.
  • $200 reservation fee for all weddings; also for scheduled events/parties) involving 20 persons or more
  • No charge for casual family picnics or other small gatherings

Important Information:

In an effort to slow the spread of COVID-19, all Wyoming State Park: overnight camping facilities, cabins, yurts, group sites/shelters, showerhouses, some non-essential restrooms, and playgrounds are closed until further notice.

All parks currently remain open for day-use outdoor recreation activities including: trailheads, hiking/biking trails, boat ramps, fishing access, essential restrooms, individual picnic areas/tables. Normal park fees apply; visitors are urged to use fee canisters. 

State Historic Sites are closed to the general public until further notice. 

While we encourage citizens to enjoy the great outdoors while maintaining social distances, please know the Governor has also urged citizens to stay home whenever possible. This is an ever-changing situation.
