Historical Features - EDNESS K. WILKINS
About:
The area is known for its movement west and the trails that have long since been covered by the natural shrubs and prairie brushes that have become a part of the landscape here. Pioneers taking the Oregon, California, Mormon and Pony Express trails traveled through the area and have markers designating it. The area is also known for some of the emigrants that wintered here.
The area of the trails that meet up here is on the southeast part of the park.
There is a marker just before entering the park. The wagon that sits next to the trail marker is a favorite photographer's spot.
This is a part of the park that is before the fee booth.
