Please call ahead for details before hunting in the park.  Curt Gowdy is open to deer hunting, with ARCHERY equipment ONLY, during the rifle season.  This does not include the whole park, we will have updated hunting area maps by mid-September.  We highly recommend visiting the visitor center to get detailed maps.  Hunting laws are strictly enforced.  The only exception is North Crow, which is open to ARCHERY hunting ONLY, starting the Tuesday after Labor Day.  Please refer to Wyoming Game and Fish season dates.

SPECIAL NOTE: Curt Gowdy State Park does NOT have a trailer dump station.  There are two local dump stations, each roughly 24 miles from the park.  To the east, in Cheyenne, there is a dump station at the South East Wyoming Welcome Center, 5611 High Plains Road Cheyenne, WY 82007, open 24hrs, free of charge.  The second is located west of the park at the Wyoming Territorial Prison 975 Snowy Range Rd, Laramie, WY.
