Cabins - Curt Gowdy
About:
Located in Sherman Hills campground with beautiful hilltop views of Granite Springs Reservoir, are four camping cabins equipped with air conditioning, heating (in winter we advise bringing an extra electric heater if you like a extra warm room), microwave and small dorm style fridge. The cabins are furnished with a queen size bed in the front room and two twin bunk beds in the back room. Cabins #2 and #4 are ADA accessible. There is no water or bathrooms inside the cabins. You will need to bring your own linenes. There is no better way to end a day of fishing, biking, or hiking than the Sherman Hills cabins.
Cabins may be reserved year-round by calling 877-996-7275 or by booking online. Reservations are accepted up to four (4) months in advance.
Water in the campgrounds is shut off for the winter on October 1st. The showers and flush toilets at the visitor center are still open.

Please call ahead for details before hunting in the park. Curt Gowdy is open to deer hunting, with ARCHERY equipment ONLY, during the rifle season. This does not include the whole park, we will have updated hunting area maps by mid-September. We highly recommend visiting the visitor center to get detailed maps. Hunting laws are strictly enforced. The only exception is North Crow, which is open to ARCHERY hunting ONLY, starting the Tuesday after Labor Day. Please refer to Wyoming Game and Fish season dates.
SPECIAL NOTE: Curt Gowdy State Park does NOT have a trailer dump station. There are two local dump stations, each roughly 24 miles from the park. To the east, in Cheyenne, there is a dump station at the South East Wyoming Welcome Center, 5611 High Plains Road Cheyenne, WY 82007, open 24hrs, free of charge. The second is located west of the park at the Wyoming Territorial Prison 975 Snowy Range Rd, Laramie, WY. Exit 311 off I-80. Located at the South end of the parking lot, cost is $10, open May 1 until October. |
