2022 Reservation Season:  May 1 – September 30
Outside of the season, all campsites revert to first come, first served (aka walk-in).

Booking Opens: Wyoming residents may begin booking campsites up to 120 days prior to arrival. Non-residents may begin booking up to 113 days prior to arrival.

Reservation Fees: Residents = $4      Non-Residents = $8

Fee Payment:  Fees for day use and camping are charged per vehicle.  A reservation pays for only one vehicle and any additional vehicles must pay on arrival at a booth or self-pay station.

Refund Policy:  Full refunds (minus the reservation fee) will be offered for cancellations made on or before the day of arrival. No refunds will be given for unused days/nights if a visitor leaves early. Annual permits are non-refundable (includes daily use, camping, ORV, and Snowmobile).  Reservation fees are non-refundable.

Check-In/Check-Out:  Check-in is required upon arrival. Check-in is after 3:00 pm, check out is before 11:00 am. For late arrivals, contact the park at least 12 hours prior to arrival.

No-Show Reservations Cancelled:  If someone doesn’t show up for their reservation by 11 am the day following arrival (no-show), their reservation is not automatically cancelled.  Wyo Parks staff have to physically visit the site to confirm it is empty then go into the system to cancel the reservation.  This requires staff time and delays the site becoming available for others!  Please be courteous and cancel your reservation if you won’t use it.

No-Show Penalties: When a customer doesn't arrive to their site by 11 am the day following their scheduled arrival, they are considered a 'no-show'.  No-shows are a no-no!  If you aren't able to use your reservation, please cancel so another family has the opportunity to enjoy the site.

Repeat offenders are tracked in the system, and the following penalties may be applied:
    - 1st  and 2nd No-Show: Reservation cancelled (with no refund)
    - 3rd No-Show: All reservations for the year cancelled (with no refunds)
    - 4 or more: Suspension of reservation privileges

First-Come, First-Served Campsites
During the reservation season, most campsites require reservations.  However, there are a number of first-come, first-served (aka 'walk in') sites at some locations.

14-Day Sites
A small number of sites at Keyhole and Buffalo Bill State Parks are on a maximum booking window of 14 days prior to arrival.  This is to help accommodate locals and last-minute campers.  These sites open for booking for both residents and non-residents 14 days prior to arrival for dates May 1 - September 30.  These sites include:
- Buffalo Bill: North Fork Campground #52-58 & #70-78
- Keyhole:  Homestead Campground

Other Important Information

  • Sites must be occupied nightly.

  • There is a 14-day camping limit in any 30 day period at any state park. This is a ‘rolling’ 30-day period so any number of stays totalling over 14 days within 30 days of each other (at the same park) is not permitted.

  • Dogs must be on leashes when outside of a vehicle or camping unit.

  • Visitor fees are vital to Wyo Parks!  100% of the revenue collected through visitor fees goes right back to parks and sites to fund new construction, improvement projects, site interpretation and maintenance.
