Spring is right around the corner and the weather is warming up at Glendo State Park. The ice has been very good for most of the winter, but the edge is getting softer after having several days of warmer weather. Please use caution around the ice and start thinking about getting your boat ready in the coming weeks so you can get on the lake when the ice clears.

Camping in March and April can be very enjoyable and you don't need a reservation until May 1st. There are electrical hook-ups in Two Moon, Reno Cove, and at Sandy Beach Dune Campgrounds. If you are up for a new adventure call the park at 307-735-4433 and rent a yurt. The yurts have a bunk bed with double matresses on top and bottom, a twin bed, and a twin trundle bed, a table for 6 people, and a heater that will bring the temperature up about 20 degrees above outside temperatures. All for $40 per night plus standard camping fees required per vehicle.

Spring is one of the most popular times to bike the 45+ miles of mountain bike trails that Glendo has to offer. Please, use your best judgement when you ride to stay off the trails when they are muddy.

Have fun!
