An amazing experience underground is offered during the Sinks Canyon State Park annual Kids Caving Extreme event, August 6-9. Tours run from 10:30 a.m. until noon, 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Youth ages 18 and under are invited to participate in a guided tour of Boulder Choke Cave and experience what it’s like in an underground and 2019-Kids-Caving-Extremeundeveloped cave. The highlight of the adventure is the reappearance of the Popo Agie River.

Children nine and younger must be accompanied by an adult. Limit of ten cavers per time slot. Helmets and lights are provided.

Participants are asked to not wear any clothing or shoes that have been in any other cave in the past five years. Long pants and closed-toe shoes are required.

Register at the Sinks Canyon State Park Visitor Center beginning May 16. Caving liability forms must be signed by a parent or guardian before the tour begins.
