Learn about the charms and challenges of surviving during the mid-1800s at Fort Bridger’s “Camping Like it’s 1859” program.

Camp at Fort Bridger up to three consecutive nights from July 26 through August 11 for a historical camping trip at Fort Bridger. The trip includes one tent of your choice, cots, cookware, games, historical recipes and ideas for historical games. The cost is $59 per night.

This program is inspired by a book written by Randolph Macy and published in 1859 called “The Prairie Traveler.” It was a guidebook for travelers across the West at the time filled with advice on camping, cooking, hunting, survival, etc.
